Placa del Castell Benidorm

I love Benidorm, I love filming Benidorm, I love writing about Benidorm but the Placa del Castell Benidorm is one of those places you have to see first hand to appreciate it’s beauty. The Placa del Castell Benidorm is quite easily one of the most stunning landmarks not just in Benidorm but across the Costa Blanca. Nested in between the Poniente and Levante beach and edges out in to the sea offering views over Benidorm like no other place can offer. Many of us have visited the Castell but for those who have yet to venture up here make it a must and don’t forget that camera!

Getting to the Placa del Castell Benidorm is quite easy, for those in town just head to the old town or if you are on the beach front just head in the direction of the Castell, you can’t miss it. When you are in the old town just ask in a cafe or who ever is around and they will point you in right direction. Once you are at this stunning landmark you will soon forget that you are on a Benidorm holiday as you get lost in your surroundings with your eyes wandering at the awesome views.

Although the Placa del Castell Benidorm is what we would call a visual attraction there is still plenty to do up here. There are plenty of bars, cafes and some great restaurants and if you are looking for the perfect surroundings to relax and have a coffee then look no further. Also you may be lucky enough to catch one of the pop up craft markets that frequent the Castell for some soulvenirs. You will also get the chance to have your portrait drawn by one of the many artists that are based here. On occasions you will see the Peruvian Pipe band playing live music which really makes the setting even more fantastic and don’t forget that there are telescopes dotted around the Castell so you can have a peep from one end of Benidorm to the other.

For a real treat I would recommend a night time visit to the Placa del Castell Benidorm. The views are just as impressive as you see the beauty of Benidorm and the hotels lit up in the distance. Whilst up here you will see some steps reaching out to a lowered platform, this is called the Balcon del Mediterraneo and another place for some photo opportunities across Benidorm. There are many tourist attractions and places to go sightseeing and the Castell is one that you should be making the top of the list!
