Benidorm Holidays 2018, The Jarrow Jad
I had heard about the Jarrow Lad Benidorm many times over the years but just never had chance to call in for a bite to eat until I was around the corner filming in a hotel. It was a scorcher of a day and just wanted a quick bite to eat and a cold beer and seen the opportunity to stop in at the Jarrow Lad and was not disappointed.
Located on the edge of the Old Town, just as you walk along the Poniente beach prom you see a row of bars and hotels set up a level and will be greeted with a friendly welcome.
The Jarrow Lad Benidorm is one of those places that I would call a hidden gem, I know a lot of people have been here and visit regularly but those, like myself after 8 years who tend to stick to the same places really would enjoy everything about this beach bar. It has a fantastic terrace over looking the sea front and harbour area, yes there are a lot of beach bars in Benidorm but the Jarrow is a lot calmer and family friendly than some of those on Levante beach.
Food wise the Jarrow Lad Benidorm really stands out, not only do they offer the traditional menu with breakfasts, quick bites and main meals but also do specials which is perfect for those who are looking for that bit extra when it comes to having a meal. They have plenty of refreshments available with ciders, cocktails, wines and beers and for a beach front cafe bar are very well priced with a nice cold pint at 2.50 Euros.
I know that the Jarrow Lad Benidorm is quite a trek from the New Town and Rincon part but when you are visiting the Old Town and looking for a bite to eat or a refreshment stop it’s the perfect place. The Jarrow is child friendly, has great staff, brilliant food and drinks menu and views from the terrace that are worth the visit alone. You will not be disappointed!
